Pituitary Adenoma usually increases secretion of growth hormone or adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)
Gigantism The result of an excess of growth hormone in children
Acromagaly An excess of growth hormone in adults causes acromegaly characterized by enlargement of the hands , feet , jaw , and facial features. Treatment is by surgery to remove the tumor (adenomectomy) or by drugs to reduce the blood levels of growth hormone. l
Cushing disease The situation in which , excess ACTH overstimulates the adrenal cortex. l
H Hyposecretion of Pituitary
Diabetes Insipidus A specific lack of ADH from the posterior pituitary, in which the kidneys have a decreased ability to conserve water.l
